There are three tiers of membership:

Founding Membership - open to Full Members who committed to two years' subscription by 31 March 1998. Founders have the preferred opportunity to participate in the decision making processes and have the right to use the prestigious GVF Gold Logo.

Full Membership - charged at an annual rate of US$15,000.00, this level attracts voting rights and is open to: Satellite Operators, Manufacturers, Service Operators, System Integrators, Service Support and Re-Sellers (of VSAT equipment and services).

Associate Membership - charged at US$3,000.00 per annum, does not attract voting rights and is open to: Other Industry, Users, Universities, Consultants, Government Bodies / Regulators and Individuals.
